The Neddy at Cornish is one of the most generous awards for artists in the State of Washington. This year the Neddy will award two grand prize winners $30k each and six finalists awards of $2k each, in unrestricted funds.

Cornish alums, we invite you to apply, it’s free and easy! You may apply to two categories Painting and Open Medium, both of which are open to your interpretation. Did you know past alums and teachers at Cornish have received the award? Dawn Cerny, Julie Alpert, Dan Webb, Mark Takamichi Miller to name a few.

The Neddy at Cornish is open to artists living and working in the Puget Sound Region (Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Mason, Pierce, Skagit, San Juan, Snohomish, Thurston, or Whatcom Counties) who are currently not enrolled in a degree or certificate program.

For questions about eligibility, check out the Application Guidelines, and for examples of past finalists and winners: Behnke Foundation website.
