Cornish seeks an Executive Director for the College’s new School for Creative Arts (SCA). The SCA will provide all courses and activities that serve non-college students attending Cornish, including programming for youth, experienced professionals, K-12 educators, and the community at large. The Executive Director’s portfolio will focus on the development of community classes, continuing education, and executive education which will be organized within the SCA. In addition to providing oversight of these programs, the Executive Director will also be tasked with building strategic community partnerships and maintaining sustainable revenues that will enable the Cornish to diversify its operating model.

Nordo starts 2022 with two productions by award-winning artist and Seattle luminary Sara Porkalob, Dragon Lady & Dragon Mama – the first two chapters of her three-part Dragon Cycle.
Both productions will perform in repertory, January 21st – February 27th, 2022, at The Culinarium at Nordo in the historic Pioneer Square neighborhood.

PublicDisplay.Art launched in December 2021 and highlighted 10 local artists with national and international recognition. This publications purpose is “to reinvigorate the idea that creativity is still at the heart of Seattle, that the free exchange of art and ideas makes our community better.” One of the artists featured is Monyee Chau who graduated from Cornish in 2018 from the Art Department. Monyee has gone on to exhibit in museums and galleries internationally, including the Wing Luke Museum, Museum of Northwest Art, Bellevue Arts Museum, and Copelouzos Museum.
